The information below outlines a brief overview of the key and necessary stages best undertaken to produce the highest quality and meet the current standard for your production’s audio. Everything from first meeting to final deliverables in 20 easy steps.

    Say hello via the contact page form and receive a reply within 48 hours to arrange a virtual meeting.

    Attend a virtual meeting with idris to get acquainted and discuss the project’s story, budget and production timeline.

  • 3

    Send over the production treatment, screenplay, and or any materials that can help paint a clearer picture of the visual and audio expectations.

    Idris spends 48 hours delving into the production materials and checking the diary to inform an onboarding decision.

    Contracts are received, reviewed altered if needed and ultimately signed off on.

    Share a full production schedule outlining crew meetings, shoot dates and all key stages of the production calendar.

    Idris rallies up the the necessary members of the Blac Audio team and readies up the necessary kit and resources required.

    On set, your production’s sound is theorised, prepped, captured, recorded and synced to camera.

    Upon rapping up, the production’s audio files are past on to the D.I.T station for daily assembly.

    Once a picture locked version of the film has been achieved, it is turned over to Idris for its sound edit.

    Upon sound turnover the film’s sound is edited, cleaned up, balanced for easy listening and creative review.

    Idris invites you down to the Blac Room for a live spotting session of the film, for music and sound design.

    Idris starts work crafting, assembling and syncing to picture the required elements of the film’s narrative sound design.

    Idris starts compositional work, writing, arranging, orchestrating, recording and producing the film’s original music score.

  • 15

    Version 1 of the film with full sound design and original music is sent to you for review.

    Once all review notes have been adequately implemented, the film is then mixed, mastered and outputted for use specifications.

    A music cue sheet is produced for performance rites organisations to collect royalties whenever the film is broadcasted on national TV.

    If required Idris will produce a kick ass custom trailer track suited to the films genre for the editor to cut the films trailer to.

    The 3RD and final settling up invoice is sent to the production for attention.

  • 20

    The final deliverable files are labeled out in detail and transferred in to folders before being securely sent to you over the internet.
